Abstract

English version

In this article I discuss two challenges to Serene J. Khader’s proposed account of a transnational anti-imperialist feminist ethic. The first is a methodological challenge that raises the question of which epistemic and political factors play a role in Khader’s non ideal theorizing. The second challenge concerns the question of the strength of resistance against sexist oppression as the foundation of transnational feminism. In this context I also discuss the relation between sexist oppression and capitalism.
